Stress in your
life:
Today stress is a fact of life, and the workplace is no
exception. The effects of
stress are cumulative and without time to relax and recharge, can lead to headaches,
backaches, eyestrain, neck pain, repetitive use injuries such as tendonitis
or carpal tunnel syndrome. Stress
can cause listlessness, poor concentration, anxiety, depression,
irritability, or anger. It can
cause lowered resistance to colds and infections, as well as physical and
emotional exhaustion known as “burn out.”
Recent studies
show that:
Up to 90% of all visits to primary care physicians are for
stress-related complaints. Over
50% of lost work days are stress-related.
14% of workers say stress caused them to quit or change jobs in the
previous two years.
What to expect
from your first appointment:
You should come to your first appointment ahead of your
scheduled time in order to fill out a required Confidential Client information form.

permission for you to have any massage (chair or full body.)
You may discuss any conditions or concerns with the therapist when
you schedule your appointment. You will be instructed how to sit in the
specially designed massage chair and adjustments will be made to ensure your
comfort. There is no need to undress however, you may want to remove
your jewelry from your hands and arms.
What to expect
from the massage?

back, neck, arms and hands with special attention to any stressed areas.
A light cream is used on your arm and hands.

after the massage?

refreshed.
